Brushes for oil painting started to be made in Japan from around 1910 to 1915.
At the time, this leap into the unknown in order to create brushes for Western-style paintings was hampered not just by a lack of skill, but by issues with the market and economics. But, after a great deal of difficult research, we finally developed the world’s first rational manufacturing method, one we use to this day.
Today, we use our proprietary manufacturing method to create high-quality brushes for oil painting.
